Kirsten Boynt

Kirsten Boynt was a head director at Miller Middle School in San Marcos for eight years after receiving her bachelor’s degree in Music Education at Texas State University. She went for her master’s in Latin Music Performance and graduated in May of 2023. Kirsten has been teaching private lessons and tutoring young musicians for fifteen years in the central Texas area.  

As a performer, she has played with Sonora Santanera, Sonora Dinamita, Frankie Ruiz Jr, among other well known Latin groups. Locally, Kirsten has played with Orquesta Libertad, The Brew, Sonora Hechicera, All Rhythms and Cosa Nostra. In August of 2021, she created a Latin ensemble called Los Gatos 512 and has been successful growing the group locally since then.
