Testimonials from TSUSC campers:

"I've been to the Texas State University String Camp four times, and each time is better than the last. All of the counselors are incredibly inclusive, and the professors and conductors are always eager to work with us. I firmly believe that I made the Texas All-State Orchestra my freshman and sophomore years of high school because I attended this camp. This camp helped me grow as a musician and a leader of my section and has inspired me to help others get involved with music." Anna Wicker, violin

"Texas State University String Camp was a great opportunity for me to play incredible string orchestra music that was new to me and to hone my technique and artistry with such gifted, world-class teachers. Every single year I came back home inspired and eager to practice." Max Healy, cello

My name is Oliver Richards and I am happy to say I have not only been a counselor at TSUSC for multiple years, but I was also a camper for many years as well. TSUSC changed my life for the better. It made me want to pursue a life in music, gave me friends for a lifetime and multiple summers I will remember for the rest of my life.

"I had so much fun at TSUSC. It was the one time of year where I was surrounded by string players 24/7. I played more in one week than I did the entire month of camp! It was a great experience to work and play with a lot of new people. I made so many friends that I will have for the rest of my life." Emmit Ghourley, violin

"TSUSC was my favorite part of the summer. It helped me make the best decision I've ever made, which was to major in music at Texas State University." Anna Trevino, cello
