An audition is required for consideration of acceptance into all music degrees.
All audition dates above are for Fall 2021 acceptance consideration only.

Preparation for Audition
Keyboard: BM - Performance Major
- Solos: THREE (3) contrasting works (one being a sonata) contrasting works chosen from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic and Contemporary periods. Renditions and covers of popular music will not be accepted in place of classical music selections.
- Sight-reading: Required. The ability to read without interruption in a steady tempo will be tested.
- Other: Memorization is required for all students applying to any degree program on piano.
Keyboard: BA and SRT Majors
- Solos: TWO (2) contrasting works chosen from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic and Contemporary periods. Renditions and covers of popular music will not be accepted in place of classical music selections.
- Sight-reading: Required. The ability to read without interruption in a steady tempo will be tested.
- Other: Memorization is required for all students applying to any degree program on piano.
- Prepare for Music Theory Diagnostic & Aural Skills Test
- Audition Day: Registration: between 8:30am - 9:00am
(Those who register first, audition first) - General Meeting: 9:00am
- Auditions begin: 9:30am Theory diagnostic & aural skills test
