Kodály Certification and Kodály M.M. Program

Featuring renowned Kodály faculty Micheal Houlahan and Philip Tacka, the leading authorities on Kodály Music Studies, Texas State in association with Hays CISD is pleased to offer classes leading toward Kodály Certification and a Master’s degree in Kodály Pedagogy.

This program, certified by the Organization of American Kodály Educators (OAKE), permits enrolled graduate students to earn six credits each summer. It takes three summers in order to complete a Kodály certificate. Studies include Solfege, Pedagogy, Folk Materials, Conducting, Choir & Special Sessions.
