James Bert Neely holds two degrees in music from the University of Texas at Austin and a doctorate from Indiana University, Bloomington. He is the co-author of a textbook in the integrated humanities and is active in research in contemporary life. He has presented many papers to a national audience on popular culture and education across traditional disciplinary boundaries.
