Stephen Hager is the professor of horn at Texas State University and a member of the Mid-Texas Symphony Orchestra. Professor Hager has been principal horn of the Austin Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the United States Army Band, "Pershing's Own." He is in demand as a clinician throughout Texas and has concertized throughout North America, Europe and Russia. Stephen Hager may be heard on the Mark Custom label in a recording of “40 Characteristic Studies for French Horn by H. Kling” and is the co-editor of the Southern Music Publication, “The Standley Routine.” He has also been responsible for bringing a number of world-class brass players to Texas State University for clinics and recitals.
